Assess endoscopes and accessories frequently in the course of use and reprocessing. Manual cleaning of complex components may be aided by optimal lighting and magnification. Promptly remove suspect scopes for repair or disposal.
After manual cleaning. Complex devices may require the use of lighted magnification or "additional methods" to assist with inspection.
After cleaning. Perform functionality test. Visualization may be aided by magnification, additional illumination, and/or video boroscopes of the appropriate length and diameter.
