Thoroughly rinse all surfaces and channels of the endoscope and its removable parts with water to remove all traces of the high-level disinfectant or sterilant. Scopes should be rinsed 3 times with sterile water or tap water as per manufacturer’s IFUs. If an automated reprocessor is used, ensure that rinsing is performed by the machine.
