Preclean at point of use, before bioburden has an opportunity to dry. Wipe exterior with detergent solution and aspirate large volumes of cleaning solution through the air/water and biopsy channels.
Preclean immediately after procedure to prevent biofilm formation.
Preclean at point of use with freshly-prepared cleaning solution prepared according to the solution manufacturer's instructions for use (IFUs). Also adhere to endoscope manufacturer's recommendations for water used. Wipe exterior immediately with soft, lint-free, single-use cloth or sponge. Ensure all controls are free and unlocked. Flush solution through channels until clear.
